FERN AINSLIE 

Fern joined Equitait in March 2014 and has quickly established herself as an invaluable member of the team. Her role as Equine Technician and Admin assistant is wide and varied and finds her both out on the road assisting the vets and in the office dealing with admin and clients.

Fern comes to us with a wealth of experience in the equine sector having gained a First in her Masters in Equine Science, worked for the Royal Veterinary College, been an equine sales representative for an equine retailer and managed a busy yard. In her spare time Fern enjoys riding, grooming for her Mum's Endurance Horse, walking the dogs and generally enjoying the countryside.

 

MEGAN BATT

Megan has a wide variety of farm and horse experience and Studied Animal Science at Nottingham. She spent three years working & training heavy horses on the Duchy Home farm in Gloucestershire and now has a ride and drive cob which she has also trained for horse logging. She enjoys spending time with her sheepdogs and pony.

  

 

EMMA PAGE 

Emma returned to the Duns area in 2012 after working in and around Cambridge in Biological research for 8 years. She then worked at The Moredun Research Institute on the outskirts of Edinburgh for 3 years before having her little boy - Henry. Emma grew up near Duns on the family farm and has been involved with horses since an early age. She doesn't currently have her own horse as Henry, her dog Inca and house renovations don't leave much in the way of spare time. However, she enjoys riding her mums horse as often as possible.



HELEN SAVAGE 

Helen completed her BHS exams and NVQ level 3 and since then has worked within the equine industry. She has gained a wealth of experience, working in all disciplines from riding schools to dressage yards, hunting and eventing. She later went on to work for an equine retailer becoming store manager in 2012, before joining the Equitait team in spring 2016. Helen enjoys spending her spare time with her horse Jasper who is now 25 years old and enjoying a quieter life.


 

Lilian Sidney

Lilian joined us in 2016 and has always had a love of horses, riding from a young age. She attended Brinsbury Agricultural College in Sussex to study Equine & Rural Business Management, doing some work experience for Arundel Equine Veterinary Hospital, way before Colin was there! Then went on to spend eight years working for Aviva Insurance doing all sorts from Credit Control to IT Support.

She moved up to the Borders in 2004 to be nearer family and ran her own successful business for the last 10 years. She has been married to Richard since 2002 and they have 4 children. She is also a volunteer Breast Feeding Supporter, offering individual peer support to new mums, through NHS Borders. In her spare time, she enjoys mountain biking, caravanning & outdoor life with her family and dog Baxter.
